New American Writing magazine reading

To celebrate the publication of the latest issue of SF State's New American Writing literary magazine, recent M.F.A. graduates and students in Creative Writing will read -- Marco Lean, Ben Black, Scott Lambridis and Shruti Swamy -- as well as Peter Orner, Laura Walker, Richard O. Moore, Joseph Lease and Paul Hoover. Free.

New American Writing, edited by Professors Maxine Chernoff and Paul Hoover, is affiliated with the Creative Writing Department and partially funded by donations made to the College of Liberal & Creative Arts. Now in its 50th issue, it was founded in 1971 as OINK! Magazine. New American Writing publishes international, national and local poets and prose writers including occasional contributions from faculty and students.
