Notley is the author of more than 20 books of poetry and a book of essays on poets and poetry, Coming After. She was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Poetry. In 2001, she received an award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Poetry Society of America’s Shelley Memorial Award. In 2007, Notley won the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize from the American Academy of Poets.
