mak-'amham means 'our food': Reviving Ohlone Language, Food & Life

Join us for a conversation with Vincent Medina and Louis Trevino, founders of mak-'amham/Cafe Ohlone. Vincent & Louis are both active in the ongoing revival of their ancestral languages: Chochenyo Ohlone (East Bay) and Rumsen Ohlone (Carmel Valley). They "work to decolonize; stripping away layers of imposed identity to return to what is [theirs]" (makamham.com). Free. Hosted by members of ENG 640: Language, Race & Colonization, with the support of the English Department.
